Winter Accessories at Kiti

This is our cold-weather hub: every hat, scarf and pair of gloves in the shop, gathered so you can see how pieces work together. If you already know what you are after, head straight to our dedicated hats, scarves or gloves edits. If you are building a winter look from scratch, start here.

We choose winter accessories the same way we choose everything at Kiti. They need to be warm, well made and genuinely nice to wear, with enough personality to lift a plain coat or a favourite jumper. You will find soft wools, alpaca, faux fur, cord and waxed cotton across the edit, from practical everyday pieces to a few that are just pure fun.

Build Your Own Hat, Scarf and Gloves Set

We do not sell bundled sets, but several of our labels design pieces that are made to be worn together. Becksöndergaard makes an alpaca-wool beanie, gloves and triangle scarf in matching shades, so you can put together a coordinated set in one colour. Helen Moore offers faux fur pillbox hats, headbands, triangle scarves and Diana collars in coordinating tones, perfect for a polished winter look.

For print lovers, Rino & Pelle pairs beanies and scarves in the same bold zebra and leopard designs, along with softer brushed knits in toning neutrals. Mixing and matching across brands works too: a plain beanie with a patterned scarf, or a colourful pair of gloves with an otherwise neutral outfit, always looks considered.

Winter Hats and Beanies

Our hats edit covers everything from cosy knits to waxed weatherproof styles. Ivy Ellis makes the Cousteau beanie, a classic ribbed knit, while Becksöndergaard adds the Dotia beanie and tie balaclavas for proper cold days. Bellerose offers short beanies and baseball caps, and Essentiel Antwerp brings its corduroy caps.

For wetter weather, Barbour waxed caps and bucket hats are hard to beat, and EMU Australia makes a sheepskin hat for serious warmth. Tantä offers a reversible hood, and for something more glamorous, Helen Moore and Rino & Pelle both make faux fur hats that finish a winter coat beautifully.

Scarves, Collars and Neck Warmers

Our scarves edit runs from chunky knits to fine prints. MSCH Copenhagen brings its Galine Rachelle icon scarf in a range of shades, while LeScarf offers paisley and dalmatian print scarves, including cashmere paisley styles. Essentiel Antwerp adds a double face scarf and a silk scarf, DAY Birger et Mikkelsen a classic gabardine scarf, and TWNS its bright Vail scarf.

If a full scarf feels like too much, try a neck warmer or collar. Haute L'amitié makes neck warmers in brown and black, Helen Moore offers the Diana collar, and Bellerose has a zip collar that sits neatly inside a coat. American Vintage completes the edit with its logo scarves.

Gloves and Mittens

Our gloves edit is small but well chosen. Becksöndergaard suede leather gloves are the everyday classic, its alpaca-wool gloves add warmth and colour, and GANNI striped wool mittens bring a playful note. Pair gloves with a matching beanie and scarf, or let them be the one pop of colour in a neutral outfit.

How to Wear Winter Accessories

  • Pick one statement piece, such as a faux fur hat or a printed scarf, and keep the rest of the look simple.
  • Repeat a colour across two pieces, for example a beanie and gloves in the same shade, to make an outfit feel pulled together.
  • Mix textures: suede gloves with a chunky knit scarf, or a waxed cap with a soft wool scarf, adds depth to a winter outfit.
  • Consider your coat collar. Bulky scarves suit collarless coats, while slimmer scarves, collars and neck warmers sit better under a high neck.

Frequently Asked Questions

What winter accessories does Kiti stock?

Our winter accessories edit includes hats, beanies, balaclavas, scarves, collars, neck warmers, gloves and mittens from labels including Becksöndergaard, Helen Moore, MSCH Copenhagen, Rino & Pelle, Ivy Ellis and Barbour. Stock is bought in small batches and never restocked.

Do you sell hat, scarf and gloves sets?

We do not sell bundled sets, but several brands make matching pieces. Becksöndergaard makes an alpaca-wool beanie, gloves and triangle scarf in matching shades, and Rino & Pelle pairs beanies and scarves in the same prints, so you can easily build your own set.

Which materials are warmest for hats, scarves and gloves?

Wool and alpaca knits hold warmth well and stay comfortable against the skin, sheepskin and faux fur add a thick insulating layer, and leather or waxed cotton help keep wind and rain out. Combining a warm knit with a wind-resistant layer works best on really cold days.

How do I wear a winter scarf?

For warmth, wrap a long scarf once around the neck and let the ends hang, or loop it twice and tuck the ends into your coat. Triangle scarves can be tied at the front like a bandana or wrapped so the point sits at the back. Keep the rest of the outfit simple if the scarf is the statement.

How should I care for wool and alpaca accessories?

Most wool and alpaca hats, scarves and gloves are best hand washed in cool water with a gentle wool wash and dried flat away from direct heat. Air them between wears rather than washing often, and always check the care label for each piece.

Can I try winter accessories in store?

Yes. Visit our shop on Pontcanna Street in Cardiff to try hats, scarves and gloves together with your coat. We are always happy to help you put a winter look together.
