Lilly Pilly
Lilly Pilly Collection is the Australian sustainable label that has built a loyal following for its handmade linen pieces. The collection works almost entirely in natural fibres, with linen and ramie at the heart of every season. At Kiti we stock the linen edit, focused on the easy, breezy dresses, skirts and tops that have become the brand's signature.
Each piece is made by hand in small runs and rarely returns once it sells out. The cuts are gentle, the colour palette is soft and seasonal, and the linen wears in beautifully over time. Browse our dresses for the wider edit, or stay on this page for the Lilly Pilly pieces we've curated for the UK.
Lilly Pilly Collection: an Australian sustainable label
Lilly Pilly Collection is a small Australian fashion label that has built its name on natural-fibre clothing, made slowly and made well. The pieces are cut from linen, ramie and other plant-based fabrics, designed for women who want their wardrobes lighter, softer and easier to live with.
The brand is independent and produces in small runs, with a focus on transparent sourcing and on garments built to last. There is a quiet, lived-in feeling to the pieces. Nothing shouts. The shapes are gentle, the colour palette leans towards naturals, sage, washed neutrals and soft seasonal pastels, and the handwork shows in details like covered buttons, lace trim and broderie panels.
The linen edit at Kiti
At Kiti we stock the linen pieces from the collection, focused on dresses and skirts that work across the warmer months and layer easily through the cooler ones. Think relaxed midi dresses, easy slip shapes, broderie tops, and skirts with the kind of cut that sits well over a tan but slips just as comfortably under a cardigan in October.
The linen has real weight to it. It is not the stiff, papery kind that creases hard and never recovers. It softens with each wash, the colour holds, and the cut keeps its shape across long wear. We choose pieces that work in real wardrobes, not only on holiday.
Why we stock Lilly Pilly Collection
Independent Australian labels with this much craftsmanship are rare to find in the UK. Lilly Pilly Collection sits alongside the other small, considered brands we love. If you have found your way to our Damson Madder edit for feminine, vintage-leaning pieces, Lilly Pilly fits the same wardrobe but with an Australian sensibility: easier shapes, natural fibres, less detail and more drape.
We stock what we can get, in the sizes our customers ask for most. When a piece sells out, it does not usually come back. That is true of the whole boutique, but it is particularly true of the Lilly Pilly edit because the brand produces in such small quantities to begin with.
Linen, ramie and the natural-fibre story
Linen is the heart of the collection. It is made from flax, which uses very little water to grow compared to cotton and almost no pesticide. It is breathable, it gets softer rather than thinner with age, and a well-made linen dress will be in your wardrobe for ten years if you let it. Ramie, the other fibre the brand reaches for often, is similarly plant-based and adds a little more body and shape retention to a piece.
Natural fibres also have a different relationship with the body. Linen breathes in heat in a way that synthetic fabrics cannot, which is part of why these pieces work so well as holiday and resort dressing, and part of why they keep being reached for once you are home.
How Lilly Pilly Collection fits
The brand tends to fit true to size in our experience, with the relaxed cuts feeling generous rather than close. Linen has a slight natural give and softens with wear, so most customers find their usual size is right. Where a piece is described as fitted at the waist or bust, take the measurements seriously, as linen does not stretch in the way a jersey would.
Each garment page lists the measurements we have for that piece. If a measurement is missing or you would like a second opinion, message us. We have the stock here in Cardiff and are happy to check.
Caring for linen
Linen is one of the easiest fabrics to care for if you treat it like linen rather than fighting it. A cool machine wash on a gentle cycle is fine for most pieces, with a like-colours wash and a mild detergent. Skip fabric softener, as it coats the fibres and stops them softening naturally over time. Line dry where possible, and iron while slightly damp if you want a crisper finish, or embrace the relaxed creases that are part of linen's character.
Always check the care label on each piece. The collection includes hand-finished details, lace trims and broderie panels, where extra care will extend the life of the garment considerably.
Where to find Lilly Pilly Collection in the UK
UK stockists for Lilly Pilly Collection are limited. We are a small independent boutique in Cardiff and stock a curated edit of the linen pieces alongside other labels we love. The selection is updated as new arrivals come in, and pieces are not restocked once they sell out. If you are looking for something specific, our new in page is the best place to see what has just arrived, and the dresses category is useful for browsing across labels.
