The label is the work of Emin Young and Paul Kim, two designers who met while studying at art school and still oversee every stage of the process, from fabric choice to pattern cutting and fit. Emin brings a love of delicate, feminine silhouettes, and Paul a sharper, more sculptural eye. The Emin and Paul edit
Our first Emin and Paul collection is small and focused on the colder months. The Classic Raglan Wool Coat in burgundy is the standout, with a relaxed raglan sleeve that sits easily over knitwear and a colour that works with almost everything in an autumn wardrobe. It is the kind of coat you reach for without thinking, which is the highest compliment we can give one.
Corduroy is the other big story. The Detachable Knit-Collar Corduroy Jacket in olive is a good example of the brand's thinking: a simple jacket with a knitted collar you can remove, so it works as two quite different pieces. It pairs with the matching Structured Corduroy Trousers for an easy, softly tailored suit, or can be worn separately with denim and a jumper.
The Belted Relax Wide Trousers in black are a dependable everyday option, with a wide leg and a belted waist that keep the line neat. The Fuzzy Knit Vest in cream finishes the edit, ideal layered over a shirt or a fine roll neck. How to wear Emin and Paul
The olive corduroy jacket and trousers are designed to be worn together, and they look best kept simple: a fine knit or a crisp white shirt, a leather boot from Anonymous Copenhagen and very little else. Worn separately, the jacket sits well over denim from AGOLDE or Citizens of Humanity, and the trousers work with any of our knitwear.
For the burgundy raglan coat, lean into the autumn palette. Chocolate, cream and olive all sit well against it, and a beanie from Ivy Ellis adds a relaxed finish for weekends.
